One platform for the whole week on site: roster crews with induction and SWMS gates, get dayworks dockets countersigned before knock-off, keep tickets and onboarding in order — and when it's pay time, your CFMEU EBA rules export a MYOB-ready file your bookkeeper will love.
Full system per active employee, or start with just dockets, rostering or onboarding at a flat fee. No seats, no lock-in.
Drag-and-drop daily boards, induction gates, SWMS signed before work starts, SMS to the crew.
Dayworks dockets countersigned on the spot or via secure link, and client-ready Excel valuations.
New starters onboard from a text; licences AI-scanned, verified and expiry-tracked.
Every clause of your agreement encoded once; leave, holidays and RDOs handled; one-click export.
Four modules. Take one, some, or the lot.
A CFMEU Victoria construction EBA sets flat double-time overtime, weekend minimum payments, RDO accruals on a 36-hour week, per-project site allowances, daily fares and travel, casual loadings and inclement weather banks. Getting one of them wrong in a spreadsheet means back-pay, disputes, and audits. BuildPays encodes the rules once, so every timesheet comes out right.
Drag your crew onto today’s sites. Workers get an SMS with site, shift and directions when you hit send.
Only inducted workers can be rostered to a site. Expiring tickets get flagged before they’re a problem at the gate.
Times on a tap-to-set clock, pick the site — done in under 30 seconds, split correctly across multi-site days.
Text one link — details, sign-offs, and tickets read automatically from a photo for the office to verify.
Dockets build from real timesheet hours. Supervisors sign on your phone or a secure link, signed copy emailed instantly.
Leading hands raise whole-crew dockets — named workers or labour counts only, your choice per docket.
The calendar knows Cup Day. Holiday and RDO pay lines generate themselves — nobody submits a timesheet to say they didn’t work.
Payroll classification and client charge role stay separate, and any variation is flagged all the way to the Excel.
Any project, any date range — a dayworks valuation against your rate schedule, with signature status on every docket.
Sixty seconds, seven scenes: roster to pay run — the 6am board, the rules engine, Cup Day paying itself, the docket signed before knock-off, and the one-click MYOB file.
Overtime, weekends, RDOs, allowances, travel, casual loadings, public holidays — every clause of your enterprise agreement, encoded once and applied to every timesheet, every week. Workers enter times. The engine does the rest.
How? That's ours. What you see is the result: a pay run your workers stop arguing with.
Paste your MYOB employee list and jobs list — cards, names and job codes match automatically. Map your existing payroll category names once.
Allocate crews each morning, workers submit from their phones, site managers approve. Inductions and tickets are enforced along the way.
When every timesheet is approved, download the MYOB-ready file. Labour lands on the right job codes; MYOB applies your rates and runs the pay.
Simple per-employee pricing that scales down as your headcount scales up. Contact us for a quote.
Everything below, billed per active employee on your books each month — salaried and hourly alike — with volume discounts for larger crews.
Just want dockets and cost reports without the payroll side? Rostering and inductions only? Choose the modules you need at a simple flat rate — and switch to the full system whenever you're ready.
Pay by card or direct debit. No lock-in.
Contact us for pricing & a demoNo self-serve trial. Payroll deserves a proper start: book a demo with your enterprise agreement and a recent pay run. If BuildPays fits, we set your company up with a free pilot period — running alongside your existing process until the MYOB export matches it to the cent. You go live when the numbers prove it, not before.
No — it feeds it. MYOB stays your payroll system of record and holds every pay rate. We handle everything before the pay run: rostering, EBA-classified timesheets, approvals, and a units-only import file matched to your payroll categories and job codes.
The engine is built on the CFMEU Victoria construction & general pattern used across formwork, structure and civil subcontractor agreements approved by the Fair Work Commission. During setup we configure it to your specific agreement — classifications, allowances and site allowance tiers.
It's a web app they add to their phone's home screen — no app store, no passwords to forget. They see their roster, submit a timesheet in under 30 seconds, and get an SMS when tomorrow's site is confirmed.
Both are first-class records. The roster physically blocks allocating a worker to a site they aren't inducted for, and tickets are validated against WorkSafe Victoria validity periods — high risk work licences renew every five years, first aid every three — with expiry warnings before they bite.
Yes — the platform is modular. Take dayworks dockets and cost reports on their own at a flat monthly fee, add rostering or onboarding as you need them, or run the full system billed per employee paid. Timesheets and approvals are included in every plan, and dockets built from timesheets carry verified hours — a cross-check that docket-only plans can add any time by upgrading.
By date, not by worker choice. The app holds the gazetted Victorian public holiday calendar and your industry RDO calendar; any hours submitted on those dates classify at penalty rates automatically, and employees who correctly don't work them have their entitlement lines generated at export time — public holiday pay to the right job code, RDOs taken with fares and site allowance to the project where they accrued.
Each project carries its own rate schedule — all-inclusive normal-time and overtime rates, or base rates with separate travel and site allowance lines. Workers or nominated leading hands raise dockets with hours computed from times (never typed), the client supervisor countersigns on-screen or via a secure emailed link, and admins export an Excel cost report per project and date range. Optionally, a signature from a verified client email domain can auto-approve the matching timesheets on day-labour jobs.
Each company is an isolated tenant with role-based access: workers see only themselves, site managers see their crews, and only your admins see the company. You can export your data at any time.
Bring your enterprise agreement and a recent pay run to a 30-minute demo — we'll show your rules, your rates and your MYOB file. And there's no self-serve trial: if BuildPays fits your company, we set you up with a free pilot period and run it alongside your current process until the MYOB file matches to the cent.
